The sponge then drops back down when finished. The problem is that the sponge gets stuck up. Just give it a tap and it will fall down, turn off then on and all fixed.I would be willing to bet that the fake ink clogs it by design. When will these idiots realize that people will find a way around everything. If they dropped the ink price by a half, I would buy it. The money they loose adds up. I have refilled my carts 6 times so far, with one refilling kit. Add it up! - unknown worked!!!THANK YOU VERY MUCH - Anonymous Yeah! I followed the instructions to reseat the ink holder home pad, and the 6A00 Error problem was resolved! In my case, it was not the actual sponge, but the white plastic sponge holder that needed to be pushed back into position aside the paper feed placket. My issue resulted from a paper jam that apparently dislocated the sponge holder when the crumbled paper was pulled through the paper feed. This is an awesome and invaluable forum for DIY printer repair. I was ready to run out and purchase a new printer, but decided to keep reading through the postings when I found the fix. Thanks! - Anonymous Thanks Anonymous,Error Code 6A00 - Fixed!Sponge pad came loose, pushed it down ... fixed the pr

Hello, and canon pixma thanks for asking your question. My name is XXXXX XXXXX I will be your expert today. This may be an issue with paper being stuck inside the printer, especially around the carriage that moves back and forth during printing. Please open the printer, remove the cartridges, and unplug it from power. Check to make sure there is no remaining paper inside the printer with a flashlight, then power it back on. canon pixma mp800 Please check these directions as well, click HERE Then, unplug the printer sharply from the power outlet while it is still on > Unplug all cables from the back of the printer > While the printer is off, press and hold the power button for 1 minute, then release > Leave the printer off for 10 minutesFinally, while holding down the stop/cancel button (or just the power button if you don't have those), plug the printer back in, and power on the printer if it doesn't do so automatically. If you get the same error after that, this means that there is an issue with the purge unit inside the Canon printer. If you're in warranty, just send it into Canon as this repair is fully covered, please call 1-800-652-2666If not in warranty, you can still call for a quote on this repair. You can however try a few steps if you are comfortable doing so:Open the printer from the top, and inside wait for the carriage to move over to the center > Now go ahead and remove the powerLook in the space to the right where the carriage was and you should see the purge unit > There will be two ink pads there, and plastic wiper bladesWear
free the printhead by doing the following; 1. With the power off, open the top cover. 2. Turn the power on and as the unit attempts to perform the initial test cycle, gently pull on the carriage assembly to see if it will move to the left. If you get no response. Turn the power off. 3. Now, turn the power on and gentley push on the carriage assembly to the right in an attempt to take the pressure of the of carriage and free the jam. If neither of these work, then you are left with no other choice than to take the printer apart and get at the locking mechanism and free the carriage so it can move away fromt he purge unit and help you to locate the probable jam in the purge unit.
