I removed the printhead and found a rather badly burned connection at the right corner of the flex circuit where it is soldered to the contact board (the little green pcb that looks just like a computer keyboard). I ordered and received a new genuine Canon printhead and installed it. Now nothing happens with the exception of Error Codes B200 and 5020 being shown on the LCD. The ink tanks do not light up and the printhead unit doesn't move (though it can be slide back and forth manually). The printer is out-of-warranty. Anyone have any ideas about what I can do to get this thing back "on line"? Reset your printer: 1. Unplug power. 2. Press on/off switch for 10 seconds to drain any residual energy stored in the capacitors. 3. Plug power and turn on printer and hope for the best. embguy, Sep 11, 2010 #2 Sep 11, 2010 embguy Printer Guru Joined: Mar 9, 2009 Messages: 331 Likes Received: 3 Trophy Points: 111 Error 5020 is scanner lock switch error.
