Formatter (works also for USB flash drives). But has your memory device suddenly started giving you error messages like: card error, unknown device, formatting required, unreadable, etc.? This indicates that a physical damage is present; most http://recoverfab.com/ likely, the controller is damaged. Data rescue software can't help in this case. In http://www.magiclantern.fm/forum/index.php?topic=13959.0 almost every instance, the memory chips are intact and the data are actually available. When the memory chips of a memory device with this kind of damage are removed from the printed circuit board, it is possible to read the data with the help of a special NAND flash reader. However, at this point the data card error are raw data and must be compiled into readable data. This is the most difficult part of the rescue procedure, and is carried out by only a few service companies world-wide. I was shooting my son's last high school football game in "sport" mode this past weekend and was using a lot of memory. At one point the camera would not shoot because the memory was full. This has happened before, so I switched to another camera to finish shooting. When I got home, I tried to open the PNY card on my desktop but had no luck, the desktop would not even recognize the card. My Canon Power Shot recognized the card but displayed a "memory card error", no code. I then verified that my equipment was working correctly by reading the 8gb SD card from the power shot on both my desktop and the T3I.I would really like to retrieve that data on the PNY card, can anyone provide me with some ideas on how/if I can do it? thanks!
