I've just cd player bought the car, a '54' plate 118d SE. I would have checked when purchasing but didn't have CD nor did seller..Any help on my first post would be appreciated. Well I'm 'kind of' glad no one else has had this problem, but it doesn't make me feel special that I'm the only one, I enjoy my music in the car and it's the only issue I have with it.Ah well, will try to source a replacement unit, is it an easy replacement if it's like for like? As the title suggests, I'm getting a cd error message when I'm playing a cd in the stereo (BMW Professional Head Unit), this happens with both mp3 discs and new audio discs aswell. The problem is intermittent - sometimes they play ok, sometimes they play a couple of tracks, sometimes won't play at all.... Very annoying ! Done a search as I thought this might be a common issue, but can't find anything... Is the head unit knackered or should I try to clean the laser with one of those "cd repair" kits??? __________________ BMW E90 (2005) 330i SE Auto - E90Post Stickers, Exhaust Mod, Private Plates, Debadged, 19" Style 230 wheels, Toyo Non-RFT, MFD Scoops, K&N, Black Calipers/Hubs, 35% Rear Window Tints, Black/White Roundels, BMW Splitters, Blacklines, 12mm Rear Spacers, BMWP Knob...
