This should be able to be done under $200 for a decent one. The other option is to find a service shop that fixes factory radios, but this will cost probably just about as much for the labor of pulling the radio, getting it checked out and then fixed and reinstalled. Also if you buy a new one it will have a warranty on it...just my opinion....can you tell i work at a car audio shop?? __________________ I/O Magic 1655 gcab Benq 1620 b7w9...i think its broke!!!!! g replaced w/ a 1655 from benq !!!!BCGB sony (lite-on sohw-832s) cg5g plextor px-504a 1.02 17-08-2005 #5 insertlamename New on Forum Join Date: Aug 2005 Posts: 5 Re: Car Cd Player Error heh yeah I can tell. So there is no way to fix it? It did this before and a couple of days later I put a CD in and it played just like usual and it worked for about 4 months after that and now its giving me the error again. 17-08-2005 #6 AWILLIAMS64 MyCE Member Join Date: Nov 2004 Posts: 235 Re: Car Cd Player Error well you can pull out the radio and unplug it and that will reset it, but usually when they start doing that intermitten non playing of cd's it is usually time for a new one. if you unplug it make sure you know the unlock code to un

(for me, at least) I have an 04 base model rsx and like everyone else my stock radio has the CD error where it does not read discs. I've read almost every thread and everyone's solution seems to be..." u have to buy and aftermarket radio" well since im broke right now, I opened the radio up and cleaned the lens with a cotton swab (q-tip) dipped in alcohol then i used the dry side of the swab and "dried" it. put it back together and it now plays original and recorded cds.. not sure if this would work for any one else... but it did for me. kanyewesttx View Public Profile Find More Posts by kanyewesttx Remove Advertisements Sponsored Links Advertisement Advertisement 02-03-2012, 01:51 AM #2 dustin02rsx Senior Member Join Date: Aug 2009 Location: IN Posts: 942 iTrader: (15) mine had the same issue, i just got an after market one lol __________________ My RSX [AEM][APEXi][Tei

The CD cleaner disc will stop when the process is complete.
