gm radio so the best thing to do is go to a reputable car audio shop and have them put you on a new aftermarket radio. This should be able to be done under $200 for a decent one. The other option is to find a service shop that fixes factory radios, but this will cost probably just about as much for the labor of pulling the radio, getting it checked out and then fixed and reinstalled. Also if you buy a new one it will have a warranty on it...just my opinion....can you tell i work at a car audio shop?? __________________ I/O Magic 1655 gcab Benq 1620 b7w9...i think its broke!!!!! g replaced w/ a 1655 from benq !!!!BCGB sony (lite-on sohw-832s) cg5g plextor px-504a 1.02 17-08-2005 #5 insertlamename New on Forum Join Date: Aug 2005 Posts: 5 Re: Car Cd Player Error heh yeah I can tell. It can be fixed, but probably will be less expensive to replace the whole stereo. Check out www.crutchfield.com Good selection, reasonable prices, cd player and all the tech support you will need if you choose to attempt the job yourself. 2014rubyred3500 2014-01-05 19:39:55 UTC #5 that would be crutchfield.com. I second that decision. They are AMAZING to deal with and supply with everything you need to switch to aftermarket radio. They even supply a good print out of step by step instructions specific for your car with great pictures. PvtPublic 2014-01-05 20:25:20 UTC #6 Oooooops damn stupid typing fingers. corrected car cd player now. edb1961 2014-01-05 21:04:16 UTC #7 Are this home made CDs or store bought? Home made CDs did not always work in my 2000 Blazer. Another question, do you leave the CDs in the player? If I left a CD in the player overnight, the next day I would sometimes get an error message, especially on colder or damper nights. My best guess was that there was some condensation on the CD that was interfering with playback. Once the Blazer warmed up the CD player would start working again. Don't leave a CD in the unit overnight and try again the next day. Try a store bought CD if the home made one doesn't work. Ed B. abhisheks77 2014-01-05 22:25:02 UTC #8 Yes these are home made CD, but they worked for sometime before stopping.Yes, I left my CD inside drive. And at that time I was in Utah, it was 27 F temperature in night. So I can't fix it myself now ? knfenimore 2014-01-05 23:12:58 UTC #9 Had the same problem with my 99 Camry. I replaced the whole radio. My 09 Camry I use my phone plugged into the Aux port. Aux port is in the door below the radio in the center console. I put my whole CD collection on it and it a whole lot better than dealing with CD's. dagosa 2014-01-05 23:22:5

This information can help with troubleshooting, as well as understanding why a disc might not play. Here’s a quick summary of the messages you should know: Heat Error – This is caused by a high temperature in the disc player and should go away when the unit cools off. Unsupported – This means that a track or file on the disc is not supported or is protected. Bad Disc Please Check Owner’s Manual Push Eject – This means that the disc should be ejected and inspected for damage. Mech Error – This indicates a mechanical error, often due to scratched, dirty or damaged discs. Changer Error – Eject the disc, inspect it, and reload it if it is undamaged and clean. Check Disc Load – Eject and reload the disc. Bad Disc Please Check Owner’s Manual – This indicates a problem with the changer servo, and that the disc should be removed.
