As for the the '04 models, it sometimes has trouble playing burned CDs. Most of the time, it doesn't. But, when I burn a CD using Windows Media Player, the boat along w/ other CD players has trouble w/ it. Also, in the back of the manual it has a list of all the errors and what they mean.... I could not copy the text from the manual for the XMD-3 but the error points to the same cause, the disk is loaded upside-down. If you have a CD changer, this error is also due to the disk being upside-down. This one is compatible all VW MONSOON systems. We had a few sent out that had two wires coming out of it. One Yellow and one Black. These units will not work with the MONSOON systems but will work with NON-MONSOON systems. DVD Player Error P Parental Level Error Set the correct parental level Error R Region Code Error Replace with a disc with the proper region code. Region codes are not configurable. Other Error 99 Indicates that a hideaway EQ/DSP module has lost communication with the controller. Turn off power, reseat all power and signal connections and try again. If the fault persists, contact your authorized Clarion dealer for repair.

The new was installed about 2 weeks ago. Now I am getting error 6 when I put in a CD.
