I just bought a 2007 Ford Fusion not more than 3 weeks ago and upon attempting to load my in-dash CD changer for the very first time to use it, on loading the last disk, I got an error message before the system

advised me to load the disk and the whole thing has locked me out. I try to eject the other disks and they won't eject, they won't play, and I cannot load the last one. I get LOAD ERROR, EJECT ERROR and CD ERROR any time I attempt to do anything. I put in only store-bought CD's too. The dealer told me that these changers take a beating, however, this is a brand new car and the CD player has never been used before. This is the very first ford 6 disc cd changer reset attempt and it fails. So, for them to say that, I disagree with them. Has anyone else had this problem with these Audiophile radio/6CD changers and how many times did you have to replace your radios? I have a bad feeling about this after digging up a bit of research over this weekend and I kind of get the feeling that this car will be going back to the dealer again in the near future for the same exact issue again, after they replace the original radio. If they fail that easily, who is to say that it is not going to do that same thing again? Comments? Solutions? I have a 6-year 72k warranty, so it is covered, but that is not the point. I'm almost prepared to get used to that fact and the radios will be getting replaced often. › See More: 6-CD Changer Issue - LOAD, EJECT, CD ERRORS! I purchased my focus cd player secondhand and after a few days it has stopped ejecting the cd. Fine if I want to listen to Hilltop Hoods for the rest of the cars life, still it could have been Barry Manilow, or Michael Jackson Before I take it back to a Ford Dealer I want to see if I can fix it but I cant see how to remove the front plastic cover, the 2 square holes either side look like they may be the way to ford fusion cd do it but I have tried small screwdrivers down them and no luck. I dont want to use a lot of force in case I break something. Is there a trick to it?? If you can take it back, just do that. The only fix I know of, is to replace the head unit. You are right about the little squares. You'll need these though, not a screwdriver.
