I'm guessing its toast. If you check the for sale section there are usually people selling stock stereos for cheap. Unfortunately i don't know much about the the stereo systems and my CD player in 05 hatch keeps coming up with an 'error 1' when i insert a cd. Radio works fine and this is about 3 months out of warranty. I don't want to fork out $300 to cd player error fix, i hoping someone on here would be able to help me out? If anyone can give me an tips/ideas/suggestion on how to fix this prob it would be greatly appreciated. Try burning your discs slower (like 8x instead of 40x, yes this makes a difference) or using higher quality CD-R's. Made in Japan discs are the best (Taiyo Yuden). Yes this also makes a difference.- Dirty or scratched disc.- Dirty Laser. I've had really good luck with those CD cleaners. It is a CD with some small brushes on the bottom.
