tried cleaning it and also using brand new http://en.allexperts.com/q/Hyundai-Repair-815/2010/8/CD-player-error-message.htm cds. AnswerHi, Melissa. Error 3 indicates a problem reading the disc. If you're not using a disc that you've verified is okay https://www.cargurus.com/Cars/Discussion-t6382_ds556925 in another player, try that first. Presuming you still have an issue, reset the cd player using the procedure in your owner's cd player manual-- this is done by pressing a recessed button on some units, holding the eject button on others, or by turning off power on still others. If resetting the unit doesn't solve the problem, you'll need to have the radio/cd player repaired or replaced. player doesn't read disc CD player doesn't read disc 30 Report Follow Asked by Pady Aug 24, 2013 at 12:53 PM about the 2006 Hyundai Sonata GLS Question type: Maintenance & Repair I have a 2006 Sonata with a Mach DSP Audio System, 6 CD changer and however I burn a disc, the cd player says its "Unreadable".I have converted my music to wave and then burned as an audio disc and, I, also, have converted to MP3 and burned a disc, with the same result. Can anyone help?My only other thought was to load the disc back into the computer and open it thru Windows Media Player and try again to load in the car player. 10 Answers Report migration_judge_roy answered 3 years ago take a shopvac with the smallest suction tool and vacuum the slot for the CD...this gets the contaminants out of the moving parts~ 1 out of 1 people think this is helpful. Mark helpful Report migration_judge_roy answered 3 years ago drat...that solution worked on my junkyard '96 CD player~ Mark helpful Report migration_judge_roy answered 3 years ago I'd take a look at the system ground...specifically the Black cable...where it attaches to the rest of the car is always a problem area as to start the engine, the starter draws enough amperage to where the 12V connection actually welds itself...okay for a while but this layer of corrosion creates all manner of complications....your CD player operating at "brown-out" amperage not solid 12 Volt Power may be the key to the whole puzzle...wirebrush the 1/0awg cable where it attaches to ground...wirebrush the ground and put them back together~ Mark helpful Report migration_judge_roy answered 3 years ago Get a NEW battery...the newer tin/antimony alloy (NO LEAD) batteries will last about five years before they will stop taking a charge...2006 time for a new battery quite a while ago and while may start the car would never survive the destructive "load test" where the battery must end
