Just bought '02 Grand Cherokee LTD. Changer worked ONE time for ONE CD and now continues to show "error" on dash display. Have removed cartridge several times, re-loaded all types of CD's; (bought & burned), pushed all sorts of buttons to engage unit. All http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/wj-cd-changer-error-592571/ I get is "error" on dash.Unit is in what seems to be perfect condition; no dust, abrasions, etc., but continues to 'cycle' every time cartridge is put in. I watch rubber rollers pull CD in and out, but then it stays in and just says error. Each time cartridge is put back in unit cycles fully (1-10) and then returns to #1...loads it http://www.fixya.com/support/t234412-jeep_10_disc_changer_now_only_error (supposedly) and then nothing...just error on dash.I put my finger on metal tang that makes unit think cartridge is back inside and watched unit cycle. Seemingly everything works but would love to know what to do next. Thanks Posted by Restone on Oct 26, 2007 Want Answer 0 Clicking this will make more experts see the question and we will remind you when it gets answered. 9 Comments Flag More Print this page Share this page × Moderate Help this question get an answer Is this question mis-categorized or about a different product? I've never been able to use it nor do I see any controls on the dash that would indicate using it. 1) How are you supposed to switch between CD's? I think it's weird that I have the Infinity system with a 10-CD changer and no way to control it up front lol 2) I think it could be broken, How much would it cost to have it fixed? or should jeep grand cherokee I just get an in-dash CD deck mounted? __________________ #2 08-01-2011, 01:47 PM TJXJWJ Wrangler Unlimited Carbonara My Jeep: 2013 3.7L JK Join Date: Jun 2010 Location: Aurora, OH Posts: 3,960 Thanks: 232 Thanked 145 Times in 129 Posts Rep Power: 288378 Garage TJXJWJ's Garage Tony's Grand Wife's Libby Re: 2001 WJ Limited 10-Disc CD Changer Help Have you loaded the magazine with discs? Thanks to reader Bob, from Milwaukee, for sharing this one with us, about his travails with his 2005 Jeep Liberty's RBQ 6-CD Changer… But will the "mother-ship" come to the rescue? Bob writes: I have gotten a lot of enjoyment out of the 6-CD changer that came stock in my 2005 Jeep Liberty. Plenty of power out of 4 speakers and good clean sound. It has kept me company for many a long drive to Colorado from my home state, Wisconsin. Never had a problem not being able to play my own music mixes burned onto rewritable CD's either. But the monkeys were there when they designed this "RBQ" 6-CD changer and they have not given me the real story to this day. The problem began when after 80,000 miles m
