Delco Cd Player Err
GMThello.. i have a jensen cd stereo receiver in my car... no matter what cd i put in the player i get this code which is: ER-04 NO CDS WILL PLAY AT ALL..I GET THIS CODE..IF ANYONE CAN HELP OR TELL ME WHAT THIS IS..PLEASE EMAIL ME AT: BLUEIGUANA@AOL.COM.. THANKS guestUnregistered guest Posted on Tuesday, September 07, 2004 - 17:20 GMTI had this problem (see my prev impala cd player problems reply unregistered guest). Well I think the continuous winding even when my car was off drained my battery one day when I didn't drive the car all day. I changed batteries & now the cd player works just fine. So, I guess try unhooking your battery for a few seconds/minutes & reconnect it to reset the cars computer system. This may help. D-LocUnregistered guest Posted on Saturday, September 25, 2004 - 23:27 GMTi have a 2005 chevrolet malibu and had the same problem, it would make the grinding sound like it was trying to eject a cd even while the car was turned off, just disconnect and reconnect your battery and it should work just fine again SWUnregistered guest Posted on Friday, December 17, 2004 - 02:55 GMT D-Loc, you're absolutely right about disconnecting your battery to get rid of the "check cd" error message in car. I tried it in my truck and it worked. Sept 28 2013I have a 1997 chevy monte carlo z34 OEM Delco CD/Radio. Recently I started getting static and skips (playing CD) seemingly when hitting bumps in the road. I ran a CD cleaner and it played a little while until it didnt. I got an err and it ejected the CD everytime. I saw a couple of comments about pulling the radio fuse for a couple minutes and reinstalling. WELL...thats exactly what I did and my CD player is now working.
