That should do the trick. Use UltraISO in windows. Back to top #3 SUBd Posted 31 August 2009 - 11:32 PM SUBd InsanelyMac Protégé Just Joined 4 posts renaming all files in boot cd into lower case? If the site search doesn't work for you, go to google.com and change your preferences to English. Remember, most Boot-132 images you find here on IM does not contain a decrypter, as it is illegal to distribute one. So you will have to add one yourself. Look for fakesmc.kext, dsmos.kext or AppleDecrypt.kext. Note, some additional steps need to be taken when using fakesmc.kext on non-vanilla installations (search). Tags: Motherboards Boot CPUs Last response: December 26, 2011 2:16 AM checksum error witcher 3 in Motherboards Share swayzak March 9, 2007 10:15:38 PM hi I have had this P4PE, Pentium 4 3.06 setup for checksum error wireshark a few years. It has been OK - coldboot problems occasionally (often have to go through BIOS to boot successfully). But once up & running it's fine. Incidently, it often speaks "No cpu http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/182684-boot-132-cd-image-checksum-error/ installed, No cpu installed" on boot up, even when it boots normally ! Weird but there you go. However, recently I've been getting bad checksum errors & the CMOS resets to default. Tonight it said the cpu was 2300 MHz ! Have to change BIOS settings back to my normal settings each time & it then boots OK. When I change the cpu back in BIOS, http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/227780-30-checksum-error-boot the options are "3066 MHz" or "Manual". Can anyone advise here ? Could it be something as simple as a CMOS battery change (it's about 5 years old now) ? I hope it's not on it's last legs...... cheers swayzak More about : bad checksum error boot PC_Side_Line March 11, 2007 5:47:03 PM Bro, u forgot to remove ur pc from A/C during ur recent LIGHTNING strikes in your area! carzy things then happen. Thanks to the OP for the step-by-step, it works great on my Aspire, but the link for the guide is now down... I was hoping to use this on another machine as it it the clearest boot123 method I can find. http://www.laptop-forums.com/threads/aspire-one-with-boot-132-retail-dvd-install.5378/page-6 Has anyone got a copy of the guide, or another link? Edit. Page is backup, though I've made https://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/1326503 an archive just in case! It did'nt work for the other machine I wanted to try it on anyway, an old Dell that seems to need something other than the stock kernal anyway. Welcome to the world of the Hackintosh. Still my Aspire is almost everything I'd want in a small, cheap computer. sandgrounder, Nov 14, 2008 #101 Advertisements kakue Joined: Jul 29, 2008 Messages: 6 BIOS Update withount an operating checksum error system?? Hi, I am really a Mac guy, so please be patient with me! I copied the contents of the folder BIOS update taken from files.zip to a USB-Flash drive. I formatted the flash drive in MS-DOS via the Mac OS X hard disk utility. What do I need to start the acer aspire one from that drive? There is no operating system on it, right? The screenshoot you presented, shows something like "FREE DOS", do I need it and where do I get it? Thank you in advance! kakue checksum error on kakue, Nov 15, 2008 #102 Advertisements davidbrown2 Joined: Sep 9, 2008 Messages: 25 Hi There, I've been hunting all over the place for my OSX Disk - I Find it finally and the sites down.... typical haha Anyway, I've got a quick question - Are there any mirrors of the site out there? Thanks in advance davidbrown2, Nov 17, 2008 #103 pink Joined: Nov 17, 2008 Messages: 61 kakue: UNetbootin comes only in Windows or Linux flavors, so you should get the one that fits whatever OS is on your AAO. It assumes you (your AAO) are on the net and downloads whatever OS you have selected. It's only floppy size ~1MB. The boot system installs into a hidden A: drive which will boot the AAO. You can download the UNetbootin on your Mac and transfer it to the AAO with the USB stick for installing onto the stick. You can download the BIOS and flashing files on your Mac too and copy them straight onto the USB stick. After the stick boots the AAO you must cd c: 3305.bat then you will get messages on progress, and eventually a reboot. If it all turns to custard you can use the method described at http://macles.blogspot.com/2008/08/acer-aspire-one-bios-recovery.html Altho' I have to say when I used it after my first stuffup it restored to factory 3301 bios. ymmv pink, Nov 17, 2008 #104 benmellors Joined: Nov 17, 2008 Messages: 5 Thanks for the guide!
