the PNA be used in a secured environment. Generally these secured environments will not allow any test equipment to leave the area unless it can be proven that all devices capable of maintaining memory have been thoroughly erased. This, in conjunction with the Windows operating system, presents some difficulties when the PNA must be transported to a non-secure environment such as a repair/calibration facility. This document describes the types of cmos checksum error dell memory used in the PNA and describes a method to maintain security under these conditions. Please note that much of this information is dependent upon the CPU board used in your PNA. For purposes of this document, these are divided into 266MHz CPU 500MHz CPU 1.1GHz CPU 1.6GHz CPU 2.0GHz Core Duo CPU 2.0GHz i7 CPU 1.87GHz Celeron CPU Look here to determine your CPU type. All PNAs shipped from about March 2002 to about April 2006 had the 500MHz CPU board. Since then, all older-style PNAs (the ones with the 8.4-inch display) had the 1.1GHz CPU. The PNA-X family (N524xA and N5264A) shipped with 1.6 GHz CPU board up until about Sept 2009 when they switched to a 2.0GHz Core Duo CPU board. Starting in late 2011 a 2.0 GHz i7 processor was used. The new PNA-L family (N5231A-N5239A) use a 1.87GHz Celeron CPU. These 4 newer CPUs are all easily removable and are somewhat similar. All except the 1.6GHz CPU have easily removeable hard drives. The 1.6GHz model has the HDD enclosed within the CPU assembly. The N522xA family only shipped with the 2GHz i7 processor; the N5231A-N5239A only shipped with the 1.87GHz CPU. sure you save settings and then exit CMOS setup. If everything appears cmos checksum bad to be correct, you can try resetting the CMOS to the default values. After the CMOS values are reset, bad checksum wireshark save changes and exit the BIOS to reboot the system. Tip: If this issue continues to occur after you turn off your computer off the CMOS battery may be failing or already http://na.support.keysight.com/pna/security.html bad. Before considering replacing the CMOS battery try leaving your computer on for several days. Sometimes leaving the computer can re-charge the battery. How to replace the CMOS battery. Computer improperly turned off If the computer lost power while it was still running it may have corrupted the CMOS. Make sure the computer is ready to be shut off before turning off the http://www.computerhope.com/issues/ch000237.htm computer. If you have a laptop computer make sure the battery is charged before disconnecting the power connection. If the CMOS values have become corrupted enter the correct values in CMOS setup and then save and exit CMOS setup to resolve your issues. BIOS update recently performed If a BIOS update has been run on the computer the values stored in CMOS may have been reset. Enter CMOS setup re-enter all values and then save and exit CMOS setup. If you are unable to enter the CMOS setup, or the computer no longer keeps its BIOS values, the BIOS update may be corrupt. In this case, we recommend updating the BIOS again or reverting to an earlier version.
