Please read the readme carefully as msi files should be installed in a certain order. The other option is to download Receiver StoreFront 1.1 which is available in the Citrix Download area under Receiver and CloudGateway Infrastructure. If you have applied the private hotfix, the advice is to remove the Cmdlets folder before applying the hotfix or upgrading to version 1.1.Regards,Guillaume Go to the full post

MMC Error as follows. I tried multiple things like installing latest Microsoft patches with certificates and other things. MMC Could not create the snap-in. The snap-in might not http://discussions.citrix.com/topic/304867-storefront-mmc-could-not-create-the-snap-in/ have been installed correctly. Name : Citrix Receiver Storefront CLSID:Fx:{cdcd.................} AND End Snap-in. This snap-in is not responding To return to MMC and check the status of the snap-in, click cancel. If you choose to end the snapin immediately, you will lose unsaved data ....... Finally I decided to download and install latest Storefront version http://virtualcloudzz.blogspot.com/2013/11/storefront-server-mmc-loading-crash.html i.e. 2.1. I managed to install successfully but while opening console, it's VERY slow (couple of minutes) and crashes with error messages as follows. Citrix.DeliveryServices.Admin.SnapIn.dll MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will unload it. Report this error to MIcrosoft and then shutdown MMC. Unload teh snap-in and continue running Login to the server from where you are trying launch Storefront MMC Open Internet explorer and navigate to Internet Options- Advanced and go to Security tab. In security tab, UNCHECK "check for publisher's certificate revocation" and then click OK twice. Then reopen the Storefront console from Start - Programs, it should fix the issue. If not Continue with one of the other troubleshooting options you Goggled or leave message and I'll try to help you :-) The same fix applies to Citrix receiver slow issue as per Citrix receiver slow applications launch issue article but you need to execute these steps on client machine where Citrix receiver installed. KnowBy Jason Samuel on July 6, 2015Share Tweet Share Share 8 commentsHere are a few things I've noticed playing around with the final version of StoreFront 3.0 released to the public last week when upgrading a StoreFront 2.6 environment. I spent http://www.jasonsamuel.com/2015/07/06/upgrading-citrix-storefront-2-6-to-storefront-3-0-things-to-know/ some time messing around with StoreFront 2.7 Tech Preview customization and if you look at the code there are several changes. None of these things I've noticed with 3.0 are show stoppers, just minor http://bretty.me.uk/slow-storefront-citrix-studio-xendesktop-studio-admin-consoles/ gotchas to lookout for and some workarounds I've done so far. I want to say the upgrade from 2.6 to 3.0 in the 2 environments I've done so far was actually very smooth. Very citrix receiver impressed with the StoreFront Development team on this upgrade process and StoreFront 3.0 as a whole! 🙂Here are the items I've come across so far during the StoreFront 2.6 to 3.0 upgrade and their workarounds:MMC crash in 2008 R2Desktop shortcut breaksLogos say "Citrix StoreFront" instead of "Citrix Receiver"Design is not Responsive ("mobile first")Read on for explanation of each. I'll try to add more as I come across them. MMC citrix receiver storefront crash in 2008 R2If using Server 2008 R2 the Citrix StoreFront console MMC might crash if you try to "Set Unified Experience as Default" under the Stores first. Specifically the "Citrix.DeliveryServices.Admin.SnapIn.dll" crashes:You MUST go to "Receiver for Web" and Disable Classic Receiver Experience first. This is even recommended by Feng Huang in his What’s New in StoreFront 3.0 article but the MMC crash is unexpected. My gut feeling is that is has to do with the OS and dependencies (PowerShell, .NET, etc.) in this particular environment. I have submitted Process Monitor captures to Citrix Support to kick it up to the dev team. It's not a big deal, just be aware of this error if you don't follow the right order. I prefer Server 2012 R2 for all newer Citrix products but sometimes you don't control what environment your client has:Now go back to Stores and try to "Set Unified Experience as Default". It will come up with no issue and you can set the new experience:Desktop shortcut breaksThe desktop icon will break due to the installer changing (but the icon will still function normally). Just send a new icon from your Start menu to the Desktop to fix it. You can check th

I was working in my lab environment and was getting more and more frustrated with the speed of the management consoles for Citrix StoreFront 2.0, Citrix Studio and XenDesktop Studio. Â It was taking an age to do ANYTHING in them so I started having a dig about online. I wrote an article a while ago about Citrix Web Interface being slow and one of the reasons for this is that the consoles are trying to verify the Authenticode signatures of the snap-ins. A quick way out of this and to dramatically improve the speed of your consoles carry out the following: For 32-bit Windows Installations: Create a file in c:\windows\system32\ called mmc.exe.config. Place the following text inside the file and save it:
