Everything

was going fine, and we were quite glad of the new nested-groups functionality (it makes our lives SO much easier than using standard OpenLDAP does). workgroup manager error 14006 The machine was configured as an OpenDirectory master, with about ten users. Nothing too exciting, except for a couple of nested groups. And then wham. Our (colocated) xServe suddenly starts taking up to 10 minutes to reboot. Why did I have to connection failed to the directory server. (2100) el capitan reboot it? Because whenever I try to add a new user using the Workgroup Manager, the first time I try to connect after a reboot it works fine. I can examine users and do all that sort of stuff. As soon as I try to ADD a user, I get: Got Unexpected ErrorError of type eDSCannotAccessSession (-14006) on line 1157 of /SourceCache/ServerManagerApp/ServerManagerApp-230/PMMUGMainView.mmThen after that I can't do anything else. If I disconnect and try to reconnect I can't. I can't even connect
Connection Failed To The Directory Server. (2100) Yosemite
using Server Admin any more. I can connect via ssh, but it takes ages, which makes me think that it's trying OpenDirectory, failing, and then defaulting back to the local authentication mode. And then I restart the machine and it all starts over again. This is really frustrating. Really really. We would really like to make Mac OS X Server a supported configuration (and set up a couple of our servers using it) but if this is going to happen often, we can't use it, nor recommend it. Leopard is upgraded to 10.5.2. Whenever I try to add it to the domain it just comes up with the following error: Unable to contact the domain controller for an unknown reason. I have looked everywhere for a solution to this problem but have been unsuccessful. All of our 10.4 connection failed to clients are bound to AD without any problems but the 10.5's just wont do it. The Apple server we are running is 10.4 server but all logins are done through AD. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Adam. We'd forgotten to set the time zone correctly. Such a stupid thing to overlook I know, maybe it's the same for you?
