Get to phone to run in USB mode: depending on the OS this can be a struggle or very easy. The difficult way: - take out the battery - press the phones 'volume up' button and keep pressing it during the following steps - plug in the usb cable while - put in the battery and release the 'volume up' button If this doesn't work, you're lucky. AMSo, I posted a long guide way back when. Here's an update to the palm http://cdmagurus.com/archive/index.php/t-3921.html pre for users looking for a quick bypass. I have used this on the Pixi, Pixi Plus, Pre and Pre Plus with no issues. More in depth guide found here: [Only registered and activated users can see links] 1. Download bypass activation tool here [Only registered and activated users can see links] 2. Place your palm connection refused in usb mode. Take out battery. Hold volume up while inserting battery and inserting usb cable. 3. After pc finds driver for novatel, you need to go to command prompt. (Start Menu, Run, cmd.) 4. In command prompt type or copy/paste from the same directory you have the devicetool.jar located: java -jar devicetool.jar 5. After the error 1 connection program is complete, it will reboot the phone and take a few minutes for the device to power up. The phone will now have bypassed activation. beautifulmistake12-14-2010, 01:17 AMIs there a way to do this with Windows? whitey10tc12-14-2010, 01:21 AMThe way posted in post one is the best and also links to a more detailed post. beautifulmistake12-14-2010, 02:11 AMWhere is post one? whitey10tc12-14-2010, 02:17 AMWhere is post one?
