Most likely your internet provider is blocking your ability to send out email direct from your connection over SMTP port 25, forcing you to either use their mail server for outbound mail delivery or to use an alternate port to connect to mail.yourdomain.com instead of port 25. Im connection refused running v.2.7.1.523. How can I find out more information on this error to make sure there isn't a problem or something I need to fix? The info I would like to find is which server has refused its connection? And what was the reason/error code? Also, I've noticed emails in the queue directory. What factors effect whether an email is forward 10061 connection refused direct to the server specified in the localdomains file, and which are then forward onto the main destination server? Thanks! The logs for your SMTP server may contain info on why it rejected the connection. If you only have one destination SMTP server, you'll know right away what the server is. If you have several domains and several destination SMTP servers, the server rejecting the connections may not be simple to find. The version of SpamFilter you're running does not provide in the logs info on what SMTP server it's forwarding emails to. However if you upgrade to version 2.7.1.531 or higher, that info is being logged:// New to VersionNumber = '2.7.1.531';{T

While this might be a problem with the computer’s registry or an intentional block from an ISP’s server as it might regard too much sent mail as SPAM, the most likely cause is a misconfigured firewall. Fixing Socket Error 10061 The first thing to check when a Socket Error 10061 comes up is the settings in your e-mail program.
