Error Connecting To Imap Server Localhost. 111 Connection Refused Cpanel
minute: Sign up C, Sockets: Connection Refused error up vote 4 down vote favorite 1 I've a data acquisition module from which I would like to collect data from the Ethernet port. I'm getting there in steps, currently I would like to just connect to server from a client. I've used Beej's guide to get the basic C code. But I just error connecting to imap server localhost. 111 connection refused squirrelmail keep getting this connect error connect: Connection refused. This is what I do: The network IP mentioned here is STATIC IP which I have configured. The port number is set to 50000 on Server side and from the client side I connect to this IP on the port 50000. I build and run the server side application and then try to connect to it by running a client side application. One doubt about server side, server side application returns before I start the client side application, so should I keep it running (while(1);) so that I can connect to it from the client side? What's going wrong am I forgetting something here? Help! I'm pasting the very slightly modified (IP and port numbers are different) Beej's C code for Server side and Client side here: Server.c /* ** server.c */ #include

I have given up but tried again recently and it still does that. I portforwared to 25565 TCP/UDP and it still doesnt work I have disabled my firewall (which was a bad idea by the way) but nothing works. I have been told that connection refused means that the IP is blocking http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/support/server-support/1877827-minecraft-server-error-cannot-connect-connection it. For internet I use a type of "Internet Stick" that uses cell towers for high speed. I doubt this is the problem because it does it at my friends house too who has an actual high speed internet tower. Anyone think the can help? This Site Careers Other all forums Forum: Sockets and Internet Protocols Connection refused, Socket Help Benjamin Rohrer Greenhorn Posts: 7 posted 5 years ago I apologize in advance if this https://coderanch.com/t/540638/sockets/java/Connection-refused-Socket has already been asked, im sure it has. But I've been searching and http://www.cplusplus.com/forum/unices/115321/ cant get any answers. I'm learning how to make simple Client/Server Connections using Sockets and ServerSockets. I started out with a client and a server both running on the same machine, the IP address the client was using was the local "127.0.0.1" loopback address. However, when I ran the server connection refused from my desktop, and the client from my laptop , it did not work. The first time I used my external IP address and I received a connection timed out error. So I changed the IP address in the client to the internal "192. etc." and this time received a connection refused error. I do have a firewall, however i've changed the error connecting to settings on both machines to allow connections from the appropriate java programs. I'm starting to think that my problem may be my router? As in, i need to change a setting in my router to allow the connection, but I honestly have no idea. If i need to post the code i will, its very short. But i think I may just have a problem with the addresses. Let me know. Thanks in advance. Ben Marco Ehrentreich best scout Bartender Posts: 1294 I like... posted 5 years ago Hi Benjamin, the reason for timeout errors is most probably your firewall silently dropping packets. It's hard to tell what exactly is the problem without knowing more about your firewall and network setup. A connection refused error usually means that the server socket (protocol+IP+port) is not opened and listening for incoming connections. On Windows and UNIX/Linux you can use the "netstat" utility to check for open sockets. If there's no socket in listening mode for the address your client tries to connect to the problem is on the server side. If that's not the case the pro
and sever programs. But when I run it, server is ok. But client showed that connection refused error. Why is it so? My client code is 1
