7 posts Posted 05 December 2012 - 06:25 PM Hello I have problems connecting to Pirate Bay tracker with Utorrent. I error connecting to imap server localhost. 111 connection refused cpanel keep getting the "Connection refused" text. I have tried almost every AirVPN server but it's the same thing despite of the server. My local ISP is blocking the connections to Pirate Bay error connecting to imap server localhost. 111 connection refused squirrelmail so could there be a possibility that the torrent connection won't go through the tunnel? Is there a way to check which way the packets go? I have forwarded the port that the client uses and it seems to be working. The piratebay.se site also works fine so at least http traffic uses VPN. I'm on Mac OS X Lion using Tunnelblick. Thanks in advance! Back to top

Thanks in advance! Hello! It's neither an AirVPN problem nor an issue with your client. The Pirate Bay tracker was shut down more than three years ago, on November 17, 2009. Your client works because basically trackers are useless, as long as you use DHT (and optionally Peer Exchange as well (PEX)). You can monitor your uTorrent packets with tools like Wireshark, or even with the Comodo net

Utorrent Connection Refused
when T attempts to connect to a Peer - in Trackers. Is it wise, even necessary, to remove the trackers that are consistently refused? I'm thinking in terms https://airvpn.org/topic/6100-solved-pirate-bay-tracker-connection-refused/ in overall reducing T overhead by no longer attempting such a connection. by Sailor24 on Tue, 20 May 2014 18:24:35 GMT Connection refused likely is the torrent not being registered with a tracker, but it could be other things also. It is a connection to a tracker not a peer. One tracker that I know of goes to https://forum.tixati.com/support/746/ refused when it gets bogged down, most time out though. The data sent to trackers is small unless they connect with you, then info from you and them is exchanged. There is no reason to worry about any failed tracker and "removing the load". It is not significant. You can go deeper and try and determine what the refusal is for, often it is a port error or other error in your client that has likely been configured by you. I do know most trackers have restrictions on what ports they may communicate with. On my old site we had a range and would not connect to users if they were communicating from a port outside that range. To do this highlight a torrent then on the lower group of tabs(depending on view) chose event log. Make sure it is set to 3 or higher and that will give you tracker events. I'm getting there in steps, currently I would like to just connect to server from a client. I've used Beej's guide to get the basic C code. But I just keep getting this connect error connect: Connection refused. This is what I do: The network IP mentioned here is STATIC IP which I have configured. The port number is set to 50000 on Server side and from the client side I connect to this IP on the port 50000. I build and run the server side application and then try to connect to it by running a client side application. One doubt about server side, server side application returns before I start the client side application, so should I keep it running (while(1);) so that I can connect to it from the client side? What's going wrong am I forgetting something here? Help! I'm pasting the very slightly modified (IP and port numbers are different) Beej's C code for Server side and Client side here: Server.c /* ** server.c */ #include
