All the Windows Sockets documentation says about that is: Connection refused. No connection could be made because the target computer actively refused it. This usually results from trying winsock error 10061 connection refused to connect to a service that is inactive on the foreign host—that is, one with no server application running. So it sounds like either the Server wasn't running, or it isn't registered, or the Client is addressing the wrong server or the protocols don't match or there's some blockage between them. That's about all I know. It becomes a matter of eliminating each possibility till you find it. FS9 is waiting for client, Client wait for connection (see attachment). I am using FSUPIC 3.40 and WideFS 6.23 - both registered. Maybe samething missing on WideClient.ini or will I use a newer version FSUIPC and Wide FS. My PC worked with WinXP pro, AMD 64 3200, ASUS A8N-SLI With two PX6600 GT PCI Expres and 1GB RAM. I have Pete's authority to do this so here goes. Please note I haven't changed any spelling or grammar this is the raw stuff!  So it played out like this... viper Hi Guys, Anybody got ideas on how to get it working.....done all that Pete said .........still will not work....... Thanks Brian. yakdownpete Need a tad more info buddy, Simconnect setup is pretty straightforward the simconnect .xml and if you are using a network setup the simconnect.cfg in the docs /installed software folder Both files must have the same IP address - the one used by your FSX pc On the network pc you need the three simconnect versions That's it Here is info I have submitted previously it might help yakdownpete said: I'm not so sure your network setup is correct. There are three Simconnect Clients that should appear on your programs list in control panel on the networked pc Version 10.0.60905.0 Version 10.0.61242.0 Version 10.0.61259.0 On running the Simconnect.ini and viewing the log txt file my setup reports 0.00000 SimConnect version 10.0.61259.0 To check this is connecting have a look at the FSUIPC log file in FSX modules. when connected this is the output. I deliberately changed the simconnect.cfg to an incorrect IP address and ran FSX again. FSUIPC reported the same output each time 1966 Delaying SimConnect connection ... 31981 SimConnect_Open succeeded: waiting to check version okay 31981 Trying to use SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 31981 Running in "Microsoft Flight Simulator X", Version: 10.0.61637.0 (SimConnect: 10.0.61259.0) 31981 Initialising SimConnect data requests now It is not failing to connect to simconnect. It is a network issue because I changed the IP address. No messages appear on screen - ASN simply shows -sim connection- Waiting for Simulator If FSUIPC shows connected then you probably need to
