in FIPS mode Messages sorted by: [ date ] [ thread ] [ subject ] [ author ] Hello all! Please help me to understand, openssl connection refused errno=79 what is the problem with openssl s_server. It stops after some openssl connect errno 79 connections: LAN clients connect well, but most of WAN ones kill the s_server (not only SSL/TLS clients, openssl s client connection refused errno 61 but telnet to same port too). Same versions OS and openssl on different servers (different providers) work well or don't work. The problem is found for openssl http://stackoverflow.com/questions/27312068/openssl-socket-connection-refused-connecterrno-111 "1.0.1e-2+deb7u14" on Debian Wheezy and for openssl "1.0.1f 6 Jan 2014" on Ubuntu 12.04. The task is to create TLS connection to SIP provider with asterisk. Outgoing TLS-connection to provider have been established. Problem is appearing when provider attempts to connect to my host: asterisk is working, but TLS connections are refused: $ openssl s_client -connect https://mta.openssl.org/pipermail/openssl-users/2015-January/000398.html 1.2.3.4:5061 connect: Connection refused connect:errno=111 So, port is open on the server, but there is no a service, which listen on this port. Let try to emmulate the SSL/TLS server with the script: # openssl s_server -tls1 -accept 443 -cert /etc/ssl/certs/ssl-cert-snakeoil.pem -key /etc/ssl/private/ssl-cert-snakeoil.key -www Using default temp DH parameters Using default temp ECDH parameters ACCEPT < ... server is waiting for connections ...> Let attempt to connect to this server again: $ openssl s_client -connect 1.2.3.4:443 CONNECTED(00000003) write:errno=104 --- no peer certificate available --- No client certificate CA names sent --- SSL handshake has read 0 bytes and written 308 bytes --- New, (NONE), Cipher is (NONE) Secure Renegotiation IS NOT supported Compression: NONE Expansion: NONE --- $ On the server side: ... gethostbyname failure 0 items in the session cache 0 client connects (SSL_connect()) 0 client renegotiates (SSL_connect()) 0 client connects that finished 0 server accepts (SSL_accept()) 0 server renegotiates (SSL_accept()) 0 server accepts that finished 0 session cache hits 0 session cach

I am getting "[Errno 111] Connection refused" connection refused error, I have faced this same issue many times in past and i use to reinstall from scratch, but after sometime again i will end up in same problem. This happens every time not only for me all my peers also facing the same issue on their lab setup. This connection refused errno behavior make me think like after some time the database is getting corrupted or something similar to this . i would really appreciate if someone can help me to narrow down the root cause ? Thanks in advance. root@ubuntu150:/var# keystone --debug user-list REQ: curl -i http://10.19.11.150:5000/v2.0/tokens -X POST -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "User-Agent: python-keystoneclient" REQ BODY: {"auth": {"tenantName": "admin", "passwordCredentials": {"username": "admin", "password": "admin_pass"}}} Authorization Failed: [Errno 111] Connection refused root@ubuntu150:~# quantum net-list [Errno 111] Connection refused root@ubuntu150:~# keystone user-list Authorization Failed: [Errno 111] Connection refused root@ubuntu150:~# quantum subnet-list [Errno 111] Connection refused root@ubuntu150:/var# tail -n 30 /var/log/keystone/keystone.log 2013-05-28 23:40:48 WARNING [keystone.common.wsgi] You are not authorized to perform the requested action: admin_required 2013-05-29 02:08:20 WARNING [keystone.common.wsgi] You are not authorized to perform the requested action: admin_required root@ubuntu150:/var# cat /var/log/nova/nova-* | grep -i error 2013-05-28 18:29:37.251 ERROR nova.openstack.common.rpc.common [req-46d05539-0ed3-4104-a72f-c77359c657c7 None None] AMQP server on localhost:5672 is unre
