OS. It worked just fine yesterday and now it's not. This is the error that's given:Code:Status: Waiting to retry...Status: Delaying connection due to previously failed connection attempt...Status: Connecting to 128.253.119.206:21...Status: Connection attempt failed with "ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by server".Error: Could not connect to serverWhen I run the network configuration wizard, here's what I get:Code:Connecting to probe.filezilla-project.orgResponse: 220 FZ router econnrefused mongodb and firewall tester readyUSER FileZillaResponse: 331 Give any password.PASS 3.1.1.1Response: 230 logged on.Checking for correct external IP addressIP 192.168.2.102 bjc-bgi-c-bacResponse: 510 Mismatch. Your IP is 68.238.89.182, gi-cdi-ij-bicWrong external IP addressConnection closedSo I'm guessing Filezilla wants my external and my computer's IP address to be the same, but I can't do that because my internet service provider refuses to give me their DNS address, which is required in order to set up a static IP. Furthermore, I don't even know why my IP has to be the same as external IP because when it was running fine last night, my internal and external IP didn't match, either. Any thoughts?-Puifai Top Profile Reply with quote da chicken Post subject: Re: ECONNREFUSED - Connection refused by serverPostPosted: 2008-08-27 13:24 Offline 226 Transfer OK Joined: 2005-11-02 06:41 Posts: 619 In the Network configuration wizard, use the setting that will get the external IP by accessing FileZilla's server as in the attached screenshot. I am on the OS X 10.8.2 trying this from CodeRunner and the Terminal. I have also tried putting my module in the node_modules folder. So, what do you have running on port 8080 that you are trying to connect to? –Brad Jan 5 '13 at 15:49 2 For any future readers I was trying to make an API request to a PHP server and my request port was not set to 80. Once changed my http requests worked fine. –Michael J. Calkins Nov 11 '13 at 18:24 | show 1 more comment 9 Answers 9 active oldest votes up vote 20 down vote Chances are you are stru

I get "Not found because of proxy error: Error: connect ECONNREFUSED" when not using port 443 Owner Rob--W commented Jan 29, 2014 How to reproduce? curl https://cors-anywhere.herokuapp.com/ gives a succesful response. omarmeky commented Jan 29, 2014 https://cors-anywhere.herokuapp.com/api.bufferapp.com/1/profiles.json?access_token=[for security purposes I emailed you this] I performed a GET request and got: "Not found because of proxy error: Error: connect ECONNREFUSED." Note that I successfully made that request via JSONP. Owner Rob--W commented Jan 29, 2014 Reproduced error on the live server. When I launch a local instance of Cors Anywhere (on localhost:8080, node server.js), the API call completes successfully. When I create a new Heroku instance, the API call also works as intended. Did you make an excessive number of API calls to buffer? Perhaps they've (temporarily) blocked my server. Try out https://cors-anywhere-eu.herokuapp.com/. The source code is identical to cors-anywhere.herokuapp.com, but it's hosted in Europe instead of the US. To try out: Visit https://robwu.nl/cors-anywhere.html. Open the JavaScript console and set cors_api_url = 'http://cors-anywhere-eu.herokuapp.com/'; Paste the URL in the textbox at the top and click on GET. omarmeky commented Jan 29, 2014 Ok, that does indeed work.
