As the title states I get an error on boot that says CPU Over Voltage Error and Power Supply Surges Detected. In the BIOS it the CPU Voltages are in the red. Their values are in the image below.I tried taking out the CMOS battery and putting that back in, along with a few other work arounds but with no luck. Hopefully you can assist me in solving this problem. Thanks ahead of time for your assistance. Here are the computer specs, it was recently built probably about 6 months ago.CPU: Intel Core i5-4440 Haswell Quad-Core 3.1GHz (3.3GHz Turbo)Motherboard: ASUS B85-PLUS LGA 1150 Intel B85 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOSGPU: A GeForce GTX 750 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 FTW w/ ACX Cooler Video CardRAM: HyperX Fury Black Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3HDD: West

About 380C where as, it was usually about 330C.All fans working.I rebooted. On bootup, I got the "CPU overvoltage Error", press F1 to continue. If I continue, the PC works fine, except that the cpu temperature is higher as I mentioned above. Now, ever cpu over voltage after, on every boot up, I get the CPU over voltage error.Note that I have not made *any* changes in the bios, motherboard or any software recently. I have *not* attempted any overclocking. This problem more or less suddenly appeared.(I mention this because when I searched for the cpu overvoltage error" in this forum over clocking was mentioned, which I have not done). On booting I entered the bios setup and checked the CPU voltages indicated:VCORE = 1.632V (in red)3.3V = 3.285V = 5.01712V = 12.144CPU temp = 500CCPU fan = 2636CPU I am using is Intel P4 Dual core 2GHz E2180OS am using is Vista.Am posting this from another computer as am afraid to run the computer with the problem incase cpu or motherboard may get damaged. How do I set about resolving this problem ?VCORE seems to be too high. What would be causing this sudden cpu over voltage error ?Thank you.
