We called Merchant Services who transferred us to Software Support. We tried many steps including:1. resetting firewall2. creating a new file and uploading Quick Books back into our compter3. having the technicians log unto our computer to assist. So far, I've spoken to at least 8 different technicians whom recommended us to check the router, modem, and call https://accountants-community.intuit.com/questions/194061-socket-error-10060-please-help an IT person in. When the IT person came in, he stated that the modem and router were fine. I've also requested IT help from our company head quarters and so far, no one was able to help us. Here are my questions:A) after all these options, what can we do about the "socket error".B). if we upgrade to 8.0, will our 4.0 system automatically upgrade?C). I have an entire month's worth of transactions sitting in my sales history, what are my options on those??? --- did our guest get charge?D) Merchang service has not been all that helpful (I spoke to someone for 168 mins yesturday, someone for 98 mins today, etc.) -- Can anyone recommend something?I really do appreciate it!pam Comment Asked
