Error source: Error code: 0x80070057 You may also see another error message: Additional parameter values are needed before this report can be saved or https://www.itsupportguides.com/crystal-reports/solved-crystal-reports-prompting-failed/ viewed with data. Click 'OK' to enter the missing values or 'Cancel' to proceed without data. If you click ‘OK' you see the first error message, if you click ‘Cancel' the report does not run or refresh. Solution Where the error message is empty, I've found that it's because a parameter field has been set to dynamic but has not been assigned a database field to load the dynamic options. In this situation you can either change the parameter value to static - where you will need to manually enter the value when running the crystal report (making sure to enter it exactly as it is in the source data), or by specifying the the database field for the dynamic field. You can do this by expanding ‘Parameter Fields' in the ‘Field Explorer' and editing the field (if you have more than one, you will need to check each). To change the field to a static field, change ‘List of Values' to ‘Static'. To specify the database field,

[ Cause of error: CORBA_SystemException ].Error source: prompt.dll Error code: 0x8004380D".Cause This error message appears because there is a firewall between Crystal Reports and BusinessObjects Enterprise XI that is preventing the LOV from bringing back the data. Resolution Turn off or disable the firewall.Alternately, specify a CORBA port using an updated version of CRLOV.DLL that lets you choose one port for CORBA to use. Obtain the appropriate file by doing the following:Download the file update from the Downloads area of our web site.Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\Business Objects\3.0\java\crconfig.xml in a text editor. In the

Moving data to local workstation works fine. All other reports seem to run fine with data on server. Any ideas?? VBC 9 Nov 2011 4:18 PM Cancel 8 Replies iversa 10 Nov 2011 3:39 AM What version of BV are you on?Do you have a space in your BV user name? Have you tried it from another user name? Cancel VBC 10 Nov 2011 4:14 AM It is BV2010. It is not a BV user issue. Same data works fine when moved to local workstation (Windows 7 Pro - 64 bit). It seems to be something in the server environment but can't find what. Permissions and security on BVData share have been checked and granted. Tech support said that SBS 2011 is not supported, but when I run on my server with same O/S it works fine. Cancel iversa 10 Nov 2011 4:26 AM Officially SBS 2011 is not supported as an OS but SBS 2011 is Windows 2008 R2 OS so I don't see that being a problem.I would have to troubleshoot to see if the problem could be found. When you test on local workstation is the account reconciliation report the same one then when testing on the server? Do you have BV installed on the server? Is youraccount reconciliation report customized? Cancel VBC 10 Nov 2011 5:08 AM What troubleshooting steps would you take? Report is not customized and it works fine on local workstation with same data. Even moving the ABC demo data to server causes the same issue. It's definitely something in the server environment. Server is new, it was just put in few months ago. I did uninstall, re-install of both BV and Pervasive on server and workstation. I applied the latest Pervaisve patches (10.3) on server and workstation. BV and Pervasive folders are excluded from virus scanning.
