toexport as a PDF? If the report doesn't print, then either the Crystal DLL files are missing, unregistered, or they are for thewrong version of Crystal. Check that the export dlls (crtslv.dll, ExportModeller.dll, and u2fpdf.dll) exist on the machine and that they are for the correct version of Crystal. If the dlls exist, use the Regsvr32.exe program at crystal report dll for visual studio 2012 download the command line to re-register the dlls crtslv.dll and exportModeller.dll. To unregister a dll: Regsvr32.exe /u C:\WINDOWS\system32\exportmodeller.dll To register a dll: Regsvr32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\exportmodeller.dll Update the dll files. Patches for some of the Crystal DLLs need to be applied. These files are available from the Crystal Decisions technical support web site at:http://support.businessobjects.com/updates/default.asp The patches that should be applied are:For Crystal Reports 8.5 Only -cr85mainwin_en.zip, cr85devwin_en.zip For Crystal Reports 8.0 and 8.5 - dbexdrvrwin_en.zip For Crystal Reports 9.0 Only - cr90mainwin_en.zip, dbexdrvr9pluswin_en.zip **IMPORTANT NOTE** When downloading, please read all disclaimers carefully. If you have any questions regarding the installation of these patches, please contact Crystal Decisions Technical Support. Ifthe report does print, then the problem is most likely DLL permissions for the remote user. The fix is to add the Crystal folder files to the System32 folder so that all users have access. Most of http://www.accountable.com/Knowledgebase/FormsPrinter/Issues/Error-exporting-file-Error-Missing-or-out-of-date-export-DLL-Error- these work just fine to export to PDF, but two reports (out of many) throw this error when exporting to PDF: Error detected by export DLL: (541) The error seems to be an unhandled error in Crystal, and we've tried changing every parameter we can think of with no luck. Any ideas? Does your report contain sub-reports, dynamically loaded images, unusual fonts, etc? Does this error occur in both VB6 and vb.net? –Nimrod Feb 15 '11 at 16:42 Our software is an add-in to in a much larger ERP system, so we automate the export of the report through that system's API. It's written in VB6, but they don't share their source code so I wouldn't be able to get a sample of how they are calling it. The error itself is thrown within Crystal (not the ERP system) and bubbles up. Since that is a pretty specific error number, my hope was that someone would at least be able to help us narrow it down, as the ERP publisher does not have many resources to throw at the issue. –Monty Feb 17 '11 at 17:08 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 0 down vote I'm not familiar with your exact problem, but since this only happens to 2 reports out of many, here's a few suggestions you may not have asked yourself yet: Does this happen every time or sporadically? (If it's sporadic, consider network/server issues) Are these 2 reports brand new or have they worked quite well for a long time and have just now crashed? If it's the latter, look at any new programs you've installed. What's different about these 2 reports? Are the PDF
