The program works fine for a while then all of a http://forums.asp.net/t/1414996.aspx?File+I+O+error+Using+crystal+reports sudden the program stops running and gets both File I/O error and Disk Full on the creation of a new RTF file. The program loops through and creates a new file then faxes it then I delete the file. Any suggestions to troubleshoot this issue? Just deleting the file doesn't free up the disk space you must also delete it from the recycle bin. mlmcc 0 Message Author Comment by:InvisibleMan2002-02-06 Hello all. Thanks for your responses. What I am seeing is that the disk space is not showing full; however my feeling is tmp files are being created that are causing possibly one of the folders to fill up. mlmcc do you know how I can force the recycle bin to empty? Also guys should I look somewhere on this Win2K machine for these tmp files. What happens is the VB program runs through a loop setting a random file name then .RTF. Then I do a Kill on the file. I am assuming either tmp files are building up or the recycle bin issue your talking about mlmcc. Thanks guys. 0 Message Author Comment by:InvisibleMan2002-02-06 There are no temp files on the machine and I am getting the File I/O error at the line. CrystalReport1.action = 1. The recycl

I restored the server using a tape backup through Symantec Backup crystal report Exec 12. Everything was recovered without issue. However, the ERP Admin receives the following error when trying to run Crystal Reports. Failed to retrieve data from database. You will need to either recover from the last backup or try and repair the file that has been corrupted. If you need to run a check on your files you can take a look at BtSearch in the component zone. It will scan all the files in the directory using all the indexes to verify the file. This process does not require registration. Check the PVSW.LOG file for any reports of "System Error", which will indicate a file name. Follow the database recovery procedure with BUTIL. You can find info on this procedure in a white paper on Btrieve File Maintenance here: www.goldstarsoftware.com/press.asp 06-15-2010 12:42 PM In reply to gafferoo Joined on 06-15-2010 Posts 4 Re: Receiving Error When A User Is Trying To Use Cr
