Newbie Joined: 15 Jun 2012 Location: United States Online Status: Offline Posts: 11 Topic: CR8 Not Fully Loading (Win7-64bit)Posted: 19 Sep 2012 at 6:58am I've recently run into an issue http://www.crystalreportsbook.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=17595 just simply starting CR8 on my computer. The problem occurs whether I launch it from the menu (Windows 7 64 bit) or by dbl clicking a report. This is a http://exceptionin.com/q/internal-error-2753-nost-lm-exe-windows-installer-or-installshield-issue/1 new occurrence for me, I've been using this product, in the current configuration, on this laptop for 5 months without any problems. I can't say exactly when this began as crystal report I haven't had to use it for about 3 weeks before yesterday. Yesterday and today I cannot get the program to even complete loading. It will display the splash screen and then display the opening window. But at that point the cursor just shows it's busy and nothing can be done with the program. I cannot click any of the menu items, crystal reports 2008 cannot minimize the window, nor can I close it with the "X". I have let it run for upwards of 45 minutes and nothing changes. I have to kill the process in task manager to end the program. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, to the same end.Any ideas what I might be running into? Thanks in advance for any and all ideas/help. I appreciate them.Todd Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Right-click on crw.exe and go to Properties.3. Go to the Compatibility tab and turn on "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)" from the drop-down.-Dell DecisionFirst Technologies - a Proviti Enterprise 9-Time SAP BusinessObjects Partner of the Year. www.decisionfirst.com IP Logged CaptnTony Newbie Joined: 15 Jun 2012
Belkin Nostromo usb keyboard controller, and the updated install choked on the previous software version. It detected the previous install, and offered to uninstall it, but crashed halfway through the operation. From that point on I've been unable to completely uninstall the Nostromo software. I have tried: 1) Manually removing any Belkin or Nostromo entries in the registry. 2) Using the MSI cleanup utility. It couldn't find any belkin or nostromo software. 3) Cleaned the registry of any orphaned keys. Although the install is clearly not there anymore, when I try to run the Nostromo Installer, the following happens: 1) tells me it's configuring the windows installer. 2) informs me that I've selected to remove the nostromo installation (although I was never given that option) 3) exits with the above mentioned error number when i tell it to go ahead and uninstall. Looking forward to a solution to this issue! The installer went through the usual routine of having me accept the eula, and when it finally began to install the Windows Installer, it ran for less than a second and told me the operation had finished successfully. The problem remains, however. Rob Yale Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 17, 2011 Ok, I figured out how to fix it. I went into the registry and found the remnants of the first install, and deleted it. The update then proceeded smoothly. Comments See all(0) Add comment Anonymous 0 August 17, 2011 Here is specifically what I did: In Regedit I went to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/softwar e/microsof t/windows/ uninstalle r and hilighted each key untill I found the one related to Belkin Mostromo. I then deleted it. Then, I did a find in the registry searching on the string "Belkin". Several keys related to Belkin Nostromo came up and I attempted to delte then, but they wouldn't delte. i then right clicked on those keys and changed the permissions to allow me full control. After doing the above, i rebooted and carried out the install of the upgrade. R
