The SQL Query I used isn't simple, but I know it works because I commented out the line where the error was comming from, used Response.Write, and pasted it in the SQL Query Designer. When an asp file is trying to call an rpt(Crystal Report)file, the application shows error message as follows. Seagate Crystal Reports ActiveX Designer error '80047288' Server has not been opened yet /***/***/***.asp, line*** It seems like the error is occuring @ http://www.tek-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=506382 session("oRpt").ReadRecords in the asp file in accessing MS SQL Serverby odbc. I'll be grateful if someone could provide assistance to solve the issue. Clear C:\windows\temp\ and run report.Check this thread and act accordingly. The report data is set using the SetDataSource method: rptCourses.Database.SetDataSource rst, 3 The report's viewing form Load event is: CRViewer1.ReportSource = rptCourses CRViewer1.ViewReport I get a 'server has not yet been opened' error when trying to execute the 'CRViewer1.ViewReport' statement. I have another report in the same project (not using SetDataSource) that runs just fine, and a report on crystal reports activex another project that does use SetDataSource that uses more or less the same code and runs fine.
