Crystal Reports Error Message
Modified: 2008-03-10 Hi All, On previewing a Crystal report from a Delphi 5 application, this error comes up after about the 9-10th time the report is run in succession. I've traced this down to where the app calls TPEOpenPrintJob in the CRPE32.dll, but that's as far as I can go. It looks as though for each time the report is previewed this function is called crystal reports error 500 twice, the second time being when an error occurs as the return value is zero. Any ideas? 0 Question by:ShadowFax Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google LVL 4 Best Solution bykaroo ShadowFax, >>6). VCL version, um it's update pack 1, is this what you needed to know? Everything was ok on my notebook (VS2005, win2K, framework 2.0), but when i deployed to win2003 I got this nasty error "The request could not be submitted for background processing". I tried everything but finally got it working by giving theNETWORKSERVICE user 'list' permissions on the root of my D: drive. I don't understand why this worked.... D:\TEMP is the windows temp folder on the 2003 server, maybe that has something to do with it. This was my experience. I suspect that there's a COM registration problem that gets resolved and then the permission is n

Another program may be using it.... Jun 26, 2013 06:17 PM|forbesn|LINK I am in the process of migrating all of my webs from Windows Server 2003 running IIS 6 to Windows Server 2008R2 running IIS 7.5. I have an Extranet site that has many subwebs (applications). One of these applications is an app ceated in Visual Studio .NET 2008 using the embeded crystal reports. (It works fine on my Windows 2003 server.) The reports connect to an Oracle Database Server. I get the following error: Error in File C:\Windows\TEMP\temp_09e242b5-a913-44c0-9482-cda6ba347434 {E8899F5E-FF93-492F-AE83-6FA092EF452E}.rpt: Access to report file denied. Another program may be using it. "Network Service" and the account used for "Physical Path Credentials" on the IIS app has modify access to C:\Windows\Temp, the application folder, and the folder I'm trying to export the PDF's to. All of these folders are on the local server but I am using a domain account. I've tried enabling 32 bit applications on the IIS web site (I can't find where that is at right now but I know I did find it and tried that earlier.) I also tried recompiling the app for 32 bit instead of any and redeployed. So how do I make this work?
