I connected ODBC so that i could write sql commands, but i get this database connector error hy000 crystal report error... any suggestion on how i could make this go away? Sounds like a typical SQL syntax error. I would copy the SQL into the unknown database connector error crystal reports 2008 Query Analyzer to get a better error message. that i wrote is working under sql server. It was just a simply select * , to make sure at its working. not entirely sure if this helps or even answer your comment... The error message is too generic to find out what is wrong. I thought maybe you had a SQL syntax error. Are you sure that CR has permission to access all the necessary tables? Whenever i drag and drop any tables into the report itself, it works fine. The tables shows as well as the data. Not sure if i'm typing it correctly or if CR uses different syntax. Any ideas why? Here is what I have done so far. File > Log On or Off Server Create New Connection > OLE DB (ADO) Under provider I selected Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server and click next.
