These LEDs do not indicate the problem that caused the POST routine to stop. Note: Please be aware that if your system completes POST without stopping on a particular error code and then gives a black screen, the most likely reason is that you are experiencing a No Boot issue and not a No POST issue at all. Join Now I have a Dell Optiplex 760 I was going to reconfigure for another user. When I pushed the power button, nothing happened. I changed plugs, changed power chords still dead. When I press the button on the back of the case on the power supply The fan comes on, the regular power button glows amber but still won't boot, but pressing the regular power button turns the machine off. I suspect a bad power supply but since it "kind of" works I'm not sure. Unplug the power source and hold in the power button for about 30 seconds. Sometimes this work and others I have to unplug everything from the motherboard, wait a couple of minutes and plug it in again. I have read differing reason as to why this happens from capacitors not discharging to a bad surge protector and iffy wall voltages. I believe you have to unplug it from everything in the system (motherboard and all), plug it in to power, and then hit the button. You'd have to che
