I have a brand new Dell Optiplex with 3 partitions - the hardware diags, the restore image and then the OS. That's on a single SATA drive I want to replace that single 500 GB drive with a pair of 1TB drives and enable https://www.storagecraft.com/support/forum/backup-restore-101-trying-take-dell-optiplex-1-sata-raid-1 RAID 1 on them. Seems like no problem for SP 4.0.1. I got the new drives to boot up, so I guess I should be happy, but it was just trial and error. The big thing I am stumped on in general is thecheckboxes / radio buttonson the restore options page of the restore process- what's the thinking on which to check / uncheck? Which partitions need to be marked activewhen do you/ don't you restore thedisk hidden trackWhen do you restore the MBR and which of the boxes do you checkand that restore digital signature - when is that used? And going from SATA to raid, I would have thought I'd need drivers (same machine, just changes in the BIOS to enable RAID) but did not check the hardware independent restore. Also, for more than 1 partition, is there a way to que up all the jobs or I have to do 1, wait for it to finish, do the 2nd restore, wait for it to finish, then do the 3rd restore. Forums: Des
