Before you do so I would suggest that you back up all of your information from you device that way you dont loose any of it. Here is how you will perform the back: To Backup: 1. Make sure your Blackberry is connected to your computer via the USB cable. 2. Open RIM’s Desktop Manager. If you do not have the program you can install it from your Blackberry CD or download it from Blackberry.com 3. Backup and Restore. 4. Click on “Backup” to do a full backup. All files are saved as .ipd. b) To perform a selective backup hit “Advanced” and select which files you would like to save. After you have completed these steps you need to download the handheld software from your provider's website and run it on your computer.
