I chose the reboot now option like I always do and instead of restarting the phone, it popped up the message "Device Error https://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-OS-Smartphones/Storm-2-Device-Error-367/td-p/700649 367". There is a place for me to click reset but the problem is, when the device isn't at least in the process of being powered on (in this error state it isn't), you cannot click the screen. I have Google searched this issue, tried wiping the device via the BB PST, etc. and nothing will bring it out of this state. Does anyone happen to know what to do in this http://forums.pinstack.com/f341/device_error_367_on_storm_2_a-120122/ situation? Like I said, no results even pop up when I Google search it. It's almost like I'm the only one who has ever had this error message. Any help would be appreciated. 05-08-2010,10:27 AM #2 dlsolo Stack level 3 Join Date Feb 2006 PIN/ID Ask Posts 457 I've never gotten that error before. Nor, have I heard of anyone getting that. I would take BBSAK and wipe the phone that way, then reinstalled OS. What service book are you using for Yahoo! app? Posts 1,734 Can you backup the device with the desktop manager? If so back it up. Then you can either wipe the device with BBSAk or JL commander. Then reload the OS but pulling the battery out and connecting it to the DM. Link for reloading the OS: Here Looking for Wallpapers or Icons for making themes? I can help! I am . the unfortunate day started when it told me i needed to upgrade an app. which i agreed to do and then it asked for my bb log in details which i had never had to use before and when I uploaded the bugger asked to reboot like it would usually do and then crash device error 367, reset. No posts on device error 367 line about how to fix this, the carrier is now demanding i send it back for repairs and in the interim i don't get a replacement phone. lost all my pictures which i loaded from a previous handset and erased thinking I was steping up. Just found out yesterday that all the handsets had been recalled except those sold of course and they did not think to inform us of the problem and the option to have an alternative until dooms day comes which in my case is 5 months into my contract. i think all this advance in technology is to hyped up and not properly researched well. I went into a repair shop for phones and their were about ten people in line as at that time and all with BB phones!!!!!!!!!!!!!! once this starts to work i'm selling and getting a simple phone after all most of the people I bb with also have had their phones lost, stolen or crashed. oh did i 4get to mention b4 I got to this stage it would freeze, and sometimes restart itself. I should have figured then it was demon possesed!!! Offline 08-27-2010, 09:33 AM #2 (permalink) dc/dc Spam Reporter
of the uploading/upgrading the new software the screen turned white and this message appeared: Device Error: 367. Then below that, the word "Reset" is there but you cannot click it or do anything. The only way to get the screen to go away is to unattach the battery, but once you apply the battery back in, the white screen pops up with the same message. I tried sticking the usb/phone cord back in, but the software does not even recognize the phone anymore.
