(dweinin) Jul 28, 2007 2:42 PM MacBook Pro Duo Core Processor. 2 Gig Ram 256 ATI Video Card. Am new to MAC's having just recently switched over from a PC. Encore was unable to complete the operation because of a harware error (sense Code 37304). Please contact te hardware manufactuer for more information. I get this error when trying to build a DVD with Encore onto my Verbatim DVDs. Verbatim 8X DVD's. Burning them at a 2x speed from within Encore When I build a project to DVD using my cheap memorex DVD the project burns fine. Really would like to be able to burn to my Verbatim DVDs. I have even tried building an image file and burning that to the Verbatim DVD's using Popcorn2.0 but I get an error there as well. Anyone have any suggestions? How do I find out who is the manufacture of my DVD burner on a MAC? All I can find is this... HL-DT-ST DVDRW GWA4080MA in my. Thanks. 5413Views Tags: none (add) This content has been marked as final. So it would be best to check with Apple for information. My guess would be that the burner's firmware doesn't contain a fitting burning strategy for the Verbatim discs. Mylenium Jul 29, 2007 11:16 AM (in response to (dweinin)) Like Ruud says, the media is incompatible with the burner: 37304 PROGRAM MEMORY AREA UPDATE FAILURE In human terms this means that Encore cannot write its creator IDs and a few other things to the disc so it's uniquely identifiable, leading to an invalid track. The only resolution would be to upgrade the firmware (if t

PC is Microsoft Vista. I had 2 video's and in order to make TV presentable DVD's I used Adobe Premiere Elements 10. Burning to DVD generally failed (Device Error Sense Code 37304, often reported in internet), failure especially after putting together the 2 video's, with minor editing and adding a menu. Then had Premiere burning "to folder 4.7 GB". Worked OK and got a Top folder on hard disk with sub folder "Open DVD" (with sub folder "Source" and sub sub "VTS_01_1_VOB") and "VIDEO_TS". Next problem: how to burn to DVD+R (Verbatim)? First tried Microsoft Media Player unsuccessfully (whether burning Top folder or the combination of Open DVD and VIDEO_TS). Subsequently, I tried various programs from Internet (but they came with most irritation additional software which weren't easy to get rid of. Lastly I tried ImgBurn, but again it seems to fail, that is the burning itself is OK

I get the following message after a minute or so of work: Device Error - Sense Code(3 0c 00) - Write Error - Write (DVD Error 199680) I have an AOpen DUW1608/ARR Burner, and I'm using Memorex media, but i usually end up with a coaster or the program just copping out with this error as the end result. Any thoughts as to what's going on. I have device error updated to the latest firmware, and I'm using the Tryout Version of Encore 1.5. Could you paste the whole log, or just the code before that? It might help in finding what is really going on md5, Jan 27, 2005 #3 Data1232 New Member Joined: Jul 8, 2002 Messages: 180 Likes Received: 0 Trophy Points: 0 Oh wow, I really have to thank you, because it worked. Turned out that I had none of those ASPI drivers installed, and your suggestion did the trick. Thank's a bunch for the help! P.S. I should have clarified my original statement, the error occured after 5 or so minutes on working after I clicked "Build."
