I just hope that the log or something is kept. I cannot scroll backwards on the window to see previous addresses/dates.I'm considering this a field test that may contribute to new program requirements.Cheers! Tom Kogwuonye August 1, 2012 Facebook Twitter Pinterest Stumbleupon Whatsapp Email I have an LG USB flash http://www.makeuseof.com/answers/windows-reformat-lg-4gb-flash-drive/ and I bought it new and have not used it at all. I have tried formatting using all the software I came up with both from a previous question here at makeuseof, other blogs and forums and still not able to. I have used HP formatting software, Easeus Partition and other means still did not work. If I use the HP formatting, it says the device is media protected and if I used windows it says unable to format. What do I do? I am just frustrated. I have done the registry path of changing the values after creating a key in the windows registry still no solution. Please HELP!!! Veröffentlicht am 06.12.2013SORRY ABOUT THE POOR AUDIO"an error occurred while attempting to format the drive."Well, Not any more.but if you have the "Delete Volume Greyed out" problem, try reading through this link below. I have never personally encountered this problem, so I hope this helps. I'm sorry guys.EDIT: 6/21/2014 - Tbone H has this bit of info for the "Delete Volume grayed out" issue:I found an alternate method if your "Delete Volume" is grayed out like mine was. For some reason, WBFS Manager and Disk Management seem to have problems with flash drives formatted in FAT32. All I had to do was change the drive's formatting to NTFS, and you don't even have to do the disk management step this way. This is done by going into my computer, right clicking on the drive, clicking format, and then selecting the NTFS filesystem. Use default allocation size, and make sure quick format is checked or else it will take ages. Once it's done, just proceed as normal in WBFS manager and you shouldn't get an error.http://www.techsupportforum.com/forum...ORhttp://www.vistax64.com/vista-hardwar... PeToUSB FormatEx Error[11]: An Error Occurred Formating the Drive Started by Satal Keto, July 29, 2009 10 posts in this topic Satal Keto Hak5 Fan Active Members 24 posts Gender:Male Location:UK Posted July 29, 2009 I'm trying to create the Multipass described in episode 524. When I try to run PeToUSB against my 16GB SanDisk Cruzer USB, I get the following error FormatEx Error[11]: An Error Occurred Formating the Drive. I have tried this both on XP and on Vista (using Run As Administrator) I have tried what Darren said about formatting it to FAT32 if I get an error, but I still get the error after that, I have also tried formatting to NTFS to see if that works but without any luck. I was wondering whether anyone else had come across this problem and had managed to find a solution to this problem. Thanks for any help in advance Satal EDIT: I have also received FormatEx Error[7]: Failed To Dismount Drive while trying to do the same thing on a XP VM, but I'm just assuming that's something about it being on a VM
 digip -we're all just neophytes- Active Members 8,227 posts Gender:Male Location:RnVjayBPZmYh 192.168.100.1 Posted July 29, 2009 I'm trying to create the Multipass described in episode 524.
