Hopefully I have the right answer. The USB port has to powered to transfer things to the psp correctly. So either make sure you have a usb 2.0 port that is powered OR on the psp under settings, then system settings set usb charge to off. This worked for me (also works with usb charge on if I use a powered usb hub). If this helps pass on the good word. a large file blast1412 Senior Member I Modded My PSP Join Date Jun 2009 Posts 278 08-23-2009, 05:07 PM Today I just got a very strange problem with my PSP. Whenever I tried to copy a large iso (> 1 GB), it http://www.gamespot.com/forums/pc-mac-linux-society-1000004/io-device-error-help-26422901/ gave me a I/O device error and the transfer stops. There is no problem when transferring small files like musics and small cso's. It never happened to me before because I played several large games before. I tried everything, including formatting my ms (with PSP), disk checking, blowing the mspd slot and USB port. I even used different cord and USB port but still no luck. Oh yeah I don't have the adapter so I can't try it with a reader. Please help http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-discussion/56776-psp-i-o-device-error-when-transferring-large-file.html me, I really ran out of ideas... Last edited by blast1412; 08-23-2009 at 05:12 PM.
