So I am trying to build up a tool for a processor that I am working on. I get the following build error. WARNING: `makeinfo' is missing on your system. You should only need it if you modified a `.texi' or `.texinfo' file, or any other file indirectly affecting the aspect of the manual. The spurious call might also be the consequence of using a buggy `make' (AIX, DU, IRIX). You might want to install the `Texinfo' package or the `GNU make' package. Grab either from any GNU archive site. mv: target `.//home/iharrold/temp_Marvell/toolchain/build/arm-iwmmxt-linux-gnueabi/gcc-4.1.1-glibc-2.5/binutils-2.16.92/bfd/doc/' is not a directory: No such file or directory make[3]: *** [/home/iharrold/temp_Marvell/toolchain/build/arm-iwmmxt-linux-gnueabi/gcc-4.1.1-glibc-2.5/binutils-2.16.92/bfd/doc/bfd.info] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/iharrold/temp_Marvell

Core releases https://www.redhat.com/archives/rhl-list/2008-March/msg01575.html Subject: Makeinfo error when attempting to compile binutils-2.18 for AVR target Date: Sun, 16 Mar 2008 14:34:22 -0400 I'm trying to compile the gnu avr toolchain on Fedora 7. The first step is to error 1 compile binutils with target=avr. I downloaded binutils-2.18 and used this configure incantation: ../configure --prefix=$PREFIX --target=avr --disable-nls But when I run make I get the following errors on makeinfo shown below. I Googled a bit and discovered this error 1 binutils thread http://forums.ps2dev.org/viewtopic.php?t=9173&sid=3b98720de0d961a8e696f5f7a68f780d which describes the same problem and suggests upgrading to texinfo-4.9. Does anyone here have a better idea?
