The message "Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start." I have seached about on http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-networking/windows-could-not-start-error-1068-the-dependency/7963d72a-5d73-44fe-8316-058c46235737 internet, but till now nothing is helping. The follow steps I have found on internet. These steps I have try out on my comptuer, but it didn't solved my problem: 1. I go to services, try to start WLAN AutoConfig but Error 1068 appear - "Windows could not start the WLAN AutoConfig service on https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/341c3555-2e31-4523-ac37-7787ee510bd9/wlan-autoconfig-cant-start-error-1068-appear-?forum=w7itpronetworking Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start." 2. I read some forums and went to regedit.exe>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>services>Ndisuio and my "Start" value is 3, not 4, it should me OK but it's not. 3. I've also run "sfc/scannow" from cmd, and no errors. 4. have add the reg files of Black Viper site as Safe as well default. Every time I have restarted my computer after adding the reg files, but both files are not resolving me problem. See forum 5. I have exported the reg data of (I belive that this was the solution of onopko)HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SYSTEM>CurrentControlSet>services>Ndisuio. The export is been done from working WIFI laptop. The reg data is been imported into my computer, but didn't help also not! 6. netsh winsock reset in CMD 7. "msconfig", to select: "Normal Startup" 8. netsh winsock reset catalog in CMD 9. netsh int ip reset reset.log in CMD 10. sfc /scannow restart my compyter there were no problem.

Error 1068 - WLAN Auto Config Service Started by the beautifulone , Jan 11 2012 08:01 PM Please log in to reply 8 replies to this topic #1 the beautifulone the beautifulone Member Members 67 posts Gender:Female Posted 11 January 2012 - 08:01 PM I have been happily using my Windows 7 PC for over a year now with wireless connection. Tonight I did microsoft updates, rebooted and now cannot get on line. The network is working ok as I'm using my netbook to type this, I just can't get onto my PC. I've tried system restore to no avail. In services the WLAN Auto Config says automatic and says to start the service. When I try this I get this error message: "Windows could not start the WLAN Auto Config service on local computer. Error 1068: the dependency service or group failed to start. When I go to msconfig and click on the services tab the box is ticked for WLAN AutoConfig and says stopped. Can anyone tell me how do I start this? Or what else can I try to find a solution? All help gratefully received. Back to top #2 mme mme HOMELAND SECURITY.
