Switches are unmanaged. Recently I used the net view command and got the 6118 error. Computer Browser is disabled on both servers. Computers have the service enabled. Nothing has been added to the network in a long time. Net View returns "System Error 6118 has occurred The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available" Browstat staus returned "Browsing is not active on domain" I have restarted all computers and nothing resolved. I have disabled network adapters and stopped and restarted the browser service. If I use net view \\servername i get the shares on that server. All my mapped drives are working, and I can access my NAS. The problem only began in the last few days as I remember using net view a week or so ago to find a computer name. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Edited by katn60 Tuesday, January 17, 2012 9:43 PM Tuesday, January 17, 2012 4:21 PM Reply | Quote Answers 1 Sign in to vote Problem solved.
