You can check as following steps first check each pc is in the same workgroup. disable the firewall and virus protect in each PC. Ping PC2 from PC1 to ensure the network is ok net view \PC2 from PC1 to check if it is ok. share|improve this answer edited Dec 4 '12 at 7:48 answered Dec 3 '12 at 3:28 ray_linn 1,145613 Firewall and my antivirus are off/disabled. Does you computer belongs to a workgroup, or it just a single machine connected to internet? –ray_linn Dec 3 '12 at 5:01 No, there are multiple computers connected to my home network. "net view" should show me the computers that are connected to it, right? –NickTheGreat Dec 3 '12 at 5:14 | show 3 more comments Not the answer you're looking for?
