At home (VPN server side), I have my Windows 7 configured to receive incoming connections via PPTP. Port is forwarded this server on my Virginmedia superhub (a Netgear modem/router for my fibre optic BB). On client side, I simply VPN connect to my home network and it worked like a breeze for 3 months. Suddenly anywhere I am and on any PC, I cannot seem to log on to my home network via VPN anymore. The VPN client is definitely connecting as it reaches the stage of verifying username and password, then it hangs and finally gives the error 806 which is of this description: http://www.howtonetworking.com/vpnissues/error806.htm I tried most

Friday, July 13, 2012 9:17 PM Reply | Quote Answers 1 Sign in to vote well, Im using a Planet wireless routing device model WRT-403 ... I found the user manual, but I could not find a "VPN Passthrough" setting. http://www.planet.com.tw/en/product/images/4200/EM-WRT414_v1.1[1].pdf . If you have another router, such as a Cisco Linksys router, I recommend testing it. If it works with the Cisco/Linksys router, then you know the problem is due to the Plantet. . Otherwise if you do not have a Cisco/Linksys router to test it, and since the device is produced by Planet,I recommend contacting Planet support: http://www.planet.com.tw/en/support/download.php?mt=0 .Ace Fekay MVP, MCT, MCITP EA, MCTS Windows 2008/R2, Exchange 2007 & Exchange 2010, Exchange 2010 EA, MCSE & MCSA 2003/2000, MCSA Messaging 2003 Microsoft Certified Trainer Microsoft MVP - Directory Services Complete List of Technical Blogs: http://www.delawarecountycomputerconsulting.com/technicalblogs.php This post is provided AS-IS with no warranties or guarantees and co
