Server General Forum Question 0 Sign in to vote I have been trying

to get VPN to work for a while but keep getting the 806 error. I have setup routing vpn error 812 and remote access on Server 2008. I'm trying to use PPTP. I have enabled PPTP and GRE on firewalls on both the server and client. What I think might be the http://www.howtonetworking.com/vpnissues/error806.htm problem is my router. It is a Netgear WGR614v10. I have read that the SPI firewall needs to be disabled. But I do not see this firewall in the settings. What I see is a Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection option. But when I disable this it still doesn't work. But I'm not even sure if this is the problem. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/74515e17-c64c-4296-a82c-68af4fa1b1f7/vpn-error-806?forum=winservergen I feel like I have exhausted all my options. But I'm sure there is something I'm missing. Thanks in advance!
