I added and configured the role, allowed PPTP traffic through the firewall as well. When attempting to connect https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/550780-setting-up-vpn-server-error-806 from another Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7 box, they both get stuck on 'verifying username and password' and eventually end with error code 806. I am going to assume you have port 1723 open on your firewall correct? You say the Mac connects fine. What are you using for your AV software? I know you have it disabled and your firewall disabled, but sometimes firewall instances in AV software are still left running. Does the firewall on the other network allow this type of traffic?
