It is used as online read-only archive space. We had to rebuild the box a month or so ago. Since the rebuild I have been getting a lot of I/O errors in the /var/log/messages file. I know these are due to the passive path and are not really a problem. At some point in the past I found a way to filter those and they were not showing up in the messages file. I can't find that again. I have read emc200819, put that in the multipath.conf file, restarted multipath, and tried it again. Everytime I do anything that is accessing the disks I get the error messages. I get the same error from multipath restart or vgdisplay -v. I get 4 entries when I run fdisk -l. Here is a sample of the log entries for each:multipath restart - Dec 13 19:05:46 vault3 kernel
