To do so, I have a Java plugin extending error calling method on npobject safari from CordovaPlugin with the following code in the execute method: if (action.equals("showWhenLocked")) { boolean showWhenLocked = args.getBoolean(0); if (showWhenLocked) { this.cordova.getActivity().getWindow().addFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_SHOW_WHEN_LOCKED); } else { this.cordova.getActivity().getWindow().clearFlags(WindowManager.LayoutParams.FLAG_SHOW_WHEN_LOCKED); } callbackContext.success(); return true; } It gets called with cordova.exec(null, null, 'MyPluginClass', 'showWhenLocked', [myVar]), but on execution I get the error Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject. at file:///android_asset/www/cordova-2.2.0.js:984 Any ideas what's causing this/what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it? If I set the flag upon creating the activity it works just fine. java android cordova share|improve this question asked Jan 9 '13 at 1:56 Ingo Bürk 4,74512156 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 3 down vote accepted I have found already that this kind of error can be caused by calls that require threads that are not available. Your use of getWindow() tell me that this is even more likely. You are most likely accessing information locked by another thread, like the UI thread. Check out the cordova documentation in the sec

I'm running the http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14227152/android-phonegap-error-calling-method-on-npobject plugin on Android 4.2.2 with Cordova 2.7 After following each step of your (and Facebooks) readme I started the Simple example. When I pressed Login the following error occurd: Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject. at file://android_asset/www/cordova-2.7.0.js:857 SOLUTION : Right click on the FacebookSDK project - go on the java build path and check https://github.com/Wizcorp/phonegap-facebook-plugin/issues/303 android-support-v4.jar (somehow this was unchecked on mine after an android sdk update... ) then just go on Project > clean and rerun the application :) bradyemerson commented Jun 26, 2013 I am receiving the same error when calling FB.login() on Android 4.2.2 with Cordova 2.8. Uncaught Error: Error calling method on NPObject. at file:///android_asset/www/js/cordova-2.8.0.js:863 I've tried the solution you suggested and other FB.xxxx functions work, just not login(). radu-ciobanu commented Jun 26, 2013 I'm getting the same error too. Any solutions? bradyemerson commented Jun 27, 2013 Actually yes, just figured it out. VyseExhale's solution is correct I just misinterpreted it. FacebookSDK Project -> Properties -> Java Build Path -> Order and Export (tab) -> Make sure android-support-v4.jar is checked. Then do a clean. radu-ciobanu commented Jun 27, 2013 Yeap, worked for me also. Thanks! Now I have another issue. I'm not able the get the session working. FB.init response is null all the time. Any guesses? VyseExhale commented Jun 27, 2013 Have y

Thanks. This forum is a community forum meant for users of the plugin to collaborate and help solve issues with implementation, etc. Unfortunately, as the creator of the plugin, I do not have much time to attend to every request here as this is only a side project and I must work a full-time job to provide for my family. This is how I keep the Flash version free and the HTML5 version low cost. Bugs - Uploadify Error calling method on NPObject Mauro July 2010 I've red lots of unresolved posts on this issue. While everything works fine on a local installation, with a remote server both uploadifyUpload() and uplodifyCancel() issue this JS error (FF, IE and Chrome).I spent hours, changed configuration files and everything, but I could not figure out why.The only workaround I've found is to set 'auto': true in the embedding configuration, so that I do not have to invoke uploadifyUpload(),this way the upload starts and completes correctly! This makes me think that the issue is an uploadify problem, as the upload works, just I can't invoke uploadifyUpload().As to cancel, I completely remove the flash object and embed it again.I really don't like it, but at least this way it works.I hope this issue can be solved differently. Thanks for any help. TravisN. July 2010 The issue is Javascript, but when ever I have looked into the issue, I have always found it to be something the programmer has written incorrectly. It has been syntax, using the wrong version of uploadify, or placing uploadify in a div that is hidden until needed.I know it sounds like I'm fobbing it back to the you the web developer, but the issue l
