On the Laptop I click on Start - Network - Laptop icon, I cannot drop any files into any folders: ie Public - Users, or any of them, all I receive is the error message: You need permission to perform this action. x1400 running Windows Storage Server Standard (2008, 64 bit). It has been fully updated with all patches. I have copieddatato it from error copying file or folder a device attached to the system is not functioning another server, butour users are now encountering issues when they try and copy or move files from the new server.Intermittently, they recieve an errormessage with a title of "Error Copying File or Folder", with a https://forums.techguy.org/threads/solved-error-copying-file-or-folder.689466/ messagesaying "Cannot copy *Filename*: Cannotfind the specified file. Make sure you specify the correct path and file name." All file and folder permissions are OK. I can work down to the lowest point in the file structure and copy/move the files over the network. It will work fine if we copy the file (for example) \\server\level1\level2\level3\file.txt, as well as copy the folder level2 and level3, the issue will occur when copy the folder \\server\level1.
