We have at least 150 users. We get an error on this server after we transfer huge # of files (10GB+) from this http://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?t=76301 server to another. And once this start to happen, remote desktop also stops to work, RDP doesn't even show the logon screen. The only fix that we know so far is to reboot the machine."Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service."Anyone else had this problem before?server specs:* PowerEdge 1950 w/ 2 x 2Ghz dual core* 4GB RAM* 70% free space in system drive* 15% free space in storage drive (1.63TB SAS RAID5 drive on a PowerVault MD1000)thanks in advance,--dm Akula Ars Legatus Legionis Tribus: Washington Registered: Dec 15, 1999Posts: 17428 Posted: Fri Jun 12, 2009 4:02 pm You don't have users storing live PSTs on this server, do you? "Cannot copy [filename]: insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service." error appears. To solve this you may http://itowns.blogspot.com/2012/09/cannot-copy-filename-insufficient.html have to change two registry settings. You must always change the first setting. Depending on the configuration of your system, you may also have to change the second setting. First setting: Open regedit navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\ create new DWORD Value registry keyPoolUsageMaximum, set value to60decimal. If after restart the problem still error copying persists do the second setting. Second setting: Open regedit navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\ create new DWORD Value registry keyPagedPoolSize, set value toFFFFFFFFHexadecimal. Restart the server and try to copy the file. These two hints made it work. THANKS!!ReplyDeleteAdd commentLoad more...
